Green Fox and Morgan Stanley launch Java Academy scholarship program

In cooperation with our corporate partner, Morgan Stanley Budapest, we are launching an exceptional scholarship program in April 2022. Within the framework of Java Academy corporate boot camp, we are choosing 15 talented students interested in Java and server-side programming and giving them the chance to restart their careers as back-end developers – for free.

A key reason for the launch of Java Academy is the high demand on the job market for developers with back-end expertise in and advanced knowledge of Java, as they provide the background for IT systems. The joint scholarship program of Green Fox and Morgan Stanley is specifically designed to provide candidates with confident, up-to-date knowledge in this field. Thanks to the cooperation between companies, professionals who graduate from the intensive corporate boot camp conducted in English may find a job immediately after the course. They get all the support needed from Morgan Stanley and Green Fox Academy.

“Green Fox Academy has extensive experience in IT courses provided in partnership with different companies. Based on our successful international and domestic cooperation, we have developed the corporate bootcamp model, which uses unique, thematic and practice-oriented teaching methods to prepare career changers and IT professionals for the job they are looking for. Our Java Academy scholarship program is an innovative solution to the challenges posed by the labor market both to students and to our partners”

said Anita Fachs, general director of Green Foy Academy in Hungary.

The back-end course of Java Academy provides widely usable skills focused on the Java and Spring frameworks. It also prepares students for working in an international environment, and is therefore entirely in English. All graduates will be offered an interview opportunity by Morgan Stanley. Career changers can also join the Morgan Stanley Talent Network to find out about the vacancies announced by the company. Additionally, Green Fox Academy complements the scholarship with a Career Support service, as part of their 100% placement guarantee.

“It is important for us to work with well-trained professionals. That is why we would like to get involved in the education of motivated IT professionals at the start of their careers by supporting the Green Fox Java Academy. We also want to provide an opportunity for programmers who are considering a career change. Moreover, our scholarship program could also be an inspiration for women interested in IT. At Morgan Stanley, commitment to diversity and inclusion is one of our core values, as diverse and varied teams are more creative and successful than homogeneous ones”

added Gabriella Mátyás-Kollár, Chief Operating Officer for Technology at Morgan Stanley in Hungary.

The scholarship program will admit 15 students who will start an intensive, 12-week online training course in April 2022. The course, which is mostly based on projects and real-life work situations in a corporate environment, is facilitated by mentors of Green Fox Academy and is complemented by soft skill training and individual coaching sessions.
